street scene

so last weekend rick and i went to street scene both friday and saturday. this is the first time ive gone and it was a blast! it took me a couple of days to catch up after having such little sleep for two days in a row. it sucks getting older, i could have stayed up that late for days and it wouldnt have affected me before. although it might have a little to do with going to bed at 2 in the morning and still having to get up at 6:30 with little ones! i was a little tired to say the least. but it was worth it! rick and i have been going to a lot of shows this summer. i think ive been to more shows just this summer than i have my whole life. it was cool to be able to see so many bands at one venue. some of the bands we saw were mgmt (well, really we just heard them from outside the gate but they were awesome!!), vampire weekend, cat power (not a fan!!), beck, tv on the radio, the whigs, tegan and sara, coldwar kids, and the national. vampire weekend was a lot of fun too watch. ive never been a huge beck fan but i love his new album and he was pretty entertaining. the national is really mellow and easy to listen but we had some nasty drunk couple making out in front of us that were pretty distracting. but i think my favorite was tegan and sara. total chick band, i know! but they were really good. hopefully we'll be able to go again next year and theyll have as good of a lineup. it was awesome!!

ok im new to the whole blogger thing so everyone will have to bear with me while i figure this thing out. hopefully i wont be too challenged and therefore annoying!! thanks anna for your help with getting started! any advice or help anyone can give would be great! im sure you'll all get very tired of hearing about my kids and what their up to but hey im a mom and thats how i roll. so you'll be very informed on the world of sophia and charlotte! well, i guess thats good for now since my 4 year old is whining that shes hungry and my 6 month old is trying to grab the laptop as we blog! bye for now!
